Setting Up
To enable table service, go to the Fulfilment tab within your Chain (or Outlet if you're not inheriting fulfilment from the chain) and find Table Service > Enable Table Service. Turn this on.
You will need to enter the times which you want Table Service to be available. Click Add Times.
When adding times, you can specify expected order time between ordering and arrival at table using the Est. Prep Time field. Preorders are not enabled for table service at the moment so this can be ignored.
Under the Customer Charges tab, you can specify which payment methods you want to allow customers to use, and the service charge for each payment type. You can also set an optional minimum order value.
Once your opening times have been added - you will want to specify which menus are available to order from. Go to the Menus tab.
From here, select a menu (or create a new menu) and select the menu header. From here, you'll be able to assign the menu to the timeslots you setup in the previous step. The example below allows customers to order from this menu, for table service on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Setting up your Outlet
Now menus and times have been setup, we can move onto setting up the actual tables at each individual venue. Go to (or create) an Outlet within your chain. Since we have allowed table service as a fulfilment method, you will see a new tab in each outlet called Tables. From here, click Add Table.
Give your table a name and capacity and save it.
Once added, the system will generate a link and QR code. This can be used to display in your venue on the corresponding table. When a customer scans this QR code they are taken to your frontend ordering platform and assigned the correct table on the web app.
Alternatively, you can use any of the many free QR code generator tools available online, you just need to paste the Direct Link into any of these generators.
Setting up your Receiver
Nothing is needed to enable Table Service on your terminal receiver, just make sure you have the latest version (v5.0) installed. Orders will appear and print similar to delivery and collection orders.
